Position Overview: As Culinary Director, you'll be the culinary ambassador for AVI Foodsystems at Taylor University. You'll lead and develop culinary support, create and implement new menu concepts, and oversee all aspects of food service operations on campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with university stakeholders to align culinary offerings with campus needs and preferences
- Develop and implement innovative menus and dining concepts specific to Taylor University
- Lead and mentor the culinary team, fostering a culture of excellence and creativity
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and AVI's operational procedures
- Manage food costs and labor efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards
- Stay current with culinary trends, particularly those relevant to university dining
- Participate in campus events and initiatives to promote AVI's culinary services
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of culinary management experience
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in menu development, cost control, and food service operations
- Experience with culinary software and Microsoft Office applications
