We have an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN 2) position based in Tucson, AZ. Below are the key details of the role:
Position Summary:
As an LPN 2, you will be responsible for providing professional geriatric nursing care, treatment, and services within the scope of your license. You'll work in a team environment under the supervision of an RN or physician, administering care to residents, observing their behavior, and ensuring a safe, hygienic, and therapeutic environment. You will also oversee subordinate staff and assist in developing and implementing patient care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care and treatments for geriatric residents.
- Oversee and train subordinate staff on specific resident care.
- Observe and report resident behavior and physical condition.
- Administer medical treatment and interventions based on the care plan.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and agency regulations regarding nursing practices.
- Perform limited supervisory duties on assignments.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of geriatric nursing theory and practice, the aging process, and resident care needs.
- Experience with administering medications and maintaining a secure environment.
- Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills.
- Ability to assess client needs and collaborate with the healthcare team.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of LPN/LVN licensure.
- One or more years of experience in Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care (preferred).
- Current CPR certification.
- Post offer - Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Post offer - Negative TB test within the last 6 months.
- COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster (no exemptions).
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
