Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Event Manager who specializes in trade/retail/corporate events to join our team. In this role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events that enhance customer engagement and drive sales–including vendor management, budgeting, on-site execution, etc. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail oriented and able to travel.
Responsibilities:
Event Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute the strategy for events at Bloom, including but not limited to tradeshows, retail events and internal Bloom team events
- Oversee all event logistics, including reviewing exhibitor kits, booth design, layout, set-up, tear-down, shipping, AV, staffing, and vendor coordination.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or brand image.
Vendor & Partner Management:
- Source vendors and supplies needed for events, including custom branded items
- Manage relationships with external vendors and agencies, venues, suppliers, and partners to ensure all event requirements are met within budget and timeline.
On-Site Event Execution:
- Lead on-site execution, ensuring all elements of the event run smoothly, troubleshooting any issues, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
- Represent Bloom brand at the event as needed - engaging with attendees and sampling/educating on product
Cross functional collaboration
- Work closely with the sales, marketing, and logistics teams to align event objectives to ensure a consistent brand message
- Collaborate with brand and creative team to develop concept and assets
Post-Event Analysis:
- Analyze the performance and ROI of each event, gathering feedback and insights to improve future activations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience: field marketing, trade marketing, event management
- Experience in CPG / wellness / retail preferred
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and social media promotion strategies for events.
- Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours, including weekends, as required for events.
