Description:
1. Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
2. Supervise and coordinate the QA team activities to ensure all products meet quality standards such as GMP, Pre-op's, master sanitation schedules, label controls, allergens segregation, critical controls performance, etc.
3. Schedule and coordinate work assignments for QA technicians.
4. Oversee the implementation of SQF/HACCP plans and other food safety programs.
5. Review Food Safety and Quality software, records, and develop/update as needed.
6. Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production process.
7. Monitor and analyze customer complaints and feedback.
8. Implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
9. Perform and oversee testing of in-process products and finished products.
10. Analyze test results and implement corrective actions when necessary.
11. Maintain detailed records of quality assurance activities and test results.
12. Conduct training sessions on quality and safety standards for all staff.
13. Review and analyze data gathered from suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
14. Work closely with production, packaging, and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements.
15. Identify areas for improvement in the quality assurance process and implement enhancements.
16. Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements:
1. BS degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is preferred.
2. At least two (2) years' experience as a QA Supervisor or similar role in a food manufacturing environment, preferably in bakery.
3. Good working knowledge of all FDA food manufacturing rules and regulations including FSMA/HARPC and food defense.
4. Knowledge and working experience with food safety principles such as CGMP, SQF, HACCP, and Kosher principles.
5. Knowledge of food technology, food microbiology, and safe food handling procedures.
6. HACCP trained and certified required (within 3 years).
7. Intermediate to advanced computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
8. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
10. Proficiency in using quality assurance software and tools.
11. Flexible work schedule – ability to work nights and weekends when needed. Ability to work long hours during audits.
12. Multilingual is preferred.

Wage Range: $25.00-$30.00/DOE
