Systems Engineer
100% ONSITE position in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Systems Engineer to join our IT team. This role combines the responsibilities of both systems engineering and administration, offering a dynamic opportunity to design, implement, and maintain our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to system management and optimization. i-payout is a leading provider of payout solutions for clients with a significant number of contractors, freelancers, and agents globally, focusing on four core verticals: freelance, direct sales, esports, and insurance industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workstation Provisioning and Management: Provision and set up workstations, including hardware installation, software installation, and configuration. Ensure all new and existing hardware meets organizational standards and user needs.
- User Access Management: Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory and other systems. Assist with user onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Server Management and Support: Assist in managing office and data center server environments with other IT personnel and support with various issues with VMWare, Hyper-V, Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS, and wireless technologies.
- Network Management: Monitor and help our networking team in managing network performance, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. Implement and maintain network security measures to protect organizational data.
- Routine Maintenance and Updates: Perform regular maintenance tasks on computer systems, including backups, applying updates and patches. Ensure systems are running efficiently and securely.
- Cloud Environment Support: Support and manage our Azure and AWS environments, including resource provisioning, monitoring, and optimization. Assist with cloud-related issues and ensure proper configuration and operation.
- Microsoft 365 Support: Provide support for Office 365 tenant, including user authentication, permissions, and group policies. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Office 365 applications and services.
- Participate in Various IT Projects: Participate in various ad hoc projects like system upgrades, new deployments, and integrations. Evaluate new vendors and software products based on the requirements.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. Provide timely support and solutions for end-users experiencing technical problems.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in systems engineering and administration, with a solid understanding of both areas.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), server hardware, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with Active Directory and DNS is required.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols is required.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Experience in monitoring networks and web applications is a plus.
- Experience in deployment automations using various tools and programming languages is a plus.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Cisco CCNA, etc.) are desirable.
