Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled and dynamic Project Manager to join their growing team. In this pivotal role, the Project Manager will be responsible for the leadership and management of various projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. You will utilize your expertise to analyze project proposals, develop comprehensive work plans, and motivate your team to achieve successful outcomes. As a vital member of the organization, you will navigate dynamic change management to deliver significant business value.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Evaluate project proposals to determine timeframes, funding limitations, and processes for successful completion.
- Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle, motivating team members and outlining clear work plans.
- Develop and execute project resource plans, assigning duties and responsibilities while ensuring timely completion of critical tasks.
- Perform risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and maintain an effective project communication plan to ensure all stakeholders are informed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of Information Technology experience, with a strong focus on business problem-solving.
- A minimum of 3 years in a project management role, successfully executing multiple projects or a large project.
- 3+ years of experience with BU or BU-facing projects, demonstrating analytical skills and risk evaluation.
- Proven experience in leading teams, ensuring clear communication of project objectives, and maintaining stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting all deliverables and timelines.
- Strong leadership and motivational abilities, with an understanding of various personality types.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (i.e., PMI, Agile).
- Exceptional analytical skills to assess complex problems and devise effective solutions.
- Sensitivity to political environments and experience interacting with senior leadership.
- Proficiency in project planning tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, and ServiceNow.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage customer expectations effectively.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills, particularly in environments without direct control over resources.
- Comprehensive understanding of current and emerging technologies relevant to digital business.
- Project management and/or general business management training and certification is desirable.
