Position: Staff Engineer/EIT
Duration: Perm, direct placement
Location: Austin, TX onsite 5 days
Interview Process: 2 rounds. 1 virtual, 1 in-person
Pay: $80,000-90,000 per year
The mission of the Staff Engineer/EIT, is to support the project manager or other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction through preparation of detailed calculations, performing engineering analyses, and completing field assignments. They will join our client, who is a leading specialty engineering firm in Texas.
Main areas of responsibilities include:
- AutoCAD design development of PS&E documents
- Engineering analyses
- Contribute to project document deliverables.
- GIS/Database Maintenance
- Field data collection
- Data entry
- Preparing graphics in support of reports & other correspondence
- Assist in authorizing & editing technical reports & memos
- Participate in meetings with clients as needed
- Preparing graphics including data entry and analysis in support of reports and other correspondence.
- Assistance to professional staff as directed.
Key Criteria/Requirements:
- 1-2 years of directly related civil design experience
- Registered Texas EIT
- At least 1 of the following certs: SB101, SB102, SB103, SB201, SB202, AGG101, level 2, ACI Strength, ACI Field, Level 1A
- BS Civil Engineering or BS Architectural Engineering
- Excellent written and communication skills and strong math and science skills
- Ability to analyze and solve problems with minimal supervision
Plusses:
- Pavement evaluation and design knowledge
- AutoCAD design skills preferred
- Traffic Control Planning
- Drainage or grading design
- GIS/Database knowledge
- Valid Texas Driver’s License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug related traffic offenses and valid right to work documents
