*2 days onsite, 3 days remote in Chicago, IL*
JOB DESCRIPTION
Design and conduct load and stress tests across the ecosystem Monitor and analyze system performance to help identify areas of improvements Collaborate with teams to optimize system designs and code to help drive performance improvements across the ecosystem Synthesize data from multiple sources to create actionable performance dashboards Build tooling to help enable self-service load testing to internal engineering customers
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 4-6+ years of experience
- Strong knowledge of Load testing & Performance Engineering
- Exp with load testing tools such as Soasta, Gatling, K6, or others
- Demonstrate experience within the observability domain (traces, metrics, and logs). Familiarity with tools like Datadog, Splunk (this team administers these tools)
- Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Python, Java or Go- Python is preferred
- Experience with cloud native technologies such as containers, Kubernetes, Istio.
- Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks.
- Experience working with microservices.
