Our client is an American organization that operates Texas's electrical grid, the Texas Interconnection, which supplies power to more than 25 million Texas customers and represents 90 percent of the state's electric load.
They are looking for an ERM Analyst. Below is the job description:
Location: Taylor, Texas (Hybrid)
Contract: 6 months with the possibility of extension
JOB SUMMARY:
ERM analyst provide analyses and recommendations to support risk owners and business groups. The successful candidate will collaborate with other ERM team members and business units on a variety of projects with a focus on risk identification, quantification, and developing reports and presentations. The candidate is expected to demonstrate expertise in handling both quantitative and qualitative information. The candidate will participate in discussions with leaders from business units and co-ordinate discussions and timeframes for risk assessments.
Here are some aspects of their role:
- Risk Assessment: ERM Analyst works with business units and risk owners to identify, analyze, and quantify potential risks that could impact the organization’s objectives. The candidate is expected to demonstrate expertise in handling both quantitative and qualitative information.
- Risk Mitigation and tracking: They work with risk owners to develop strategies to mitigate risks. This involves working with risk owners to create risk mitigation plans, and monitoring progress.
- Strategic Alignment: ERM Analyst align risk management with the organization’s strategic goals. They ensure that risk decisions support overall business objectives.
- Risk Reporting: The analyst will collaborate with business unit employees and ERM team members on a variety of projects with a focus on risk quantification, developing reports and presentations.
- Policy and training materials development: They work with leadership and help develop Risk Policy, procedures, and training materials.
- Other: Project management as needed.
JOB DUTIES:
- Understands and applies principles, theories and concepts related to the profession and client's culture.
- Impact is generally limited to specific assignments or projects.
- May respond to inquiries and/or provide assistance and/or guidance.
EXPERIENCE:
- Requires minimum 3 years of related work experience, 5 years preferred
- Quantitative risk experience in electricity markets preferred
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree: Finance, Engineering, Economics or related field (Required)
