Pride Health is hiring Phlebotomist I to support our client’s medical facility based in Pembroke Pine, FL 33025

Location: Pembroke Pine, FL 33025
Schedule: M-F 6:30 am - 2:30 pm rotational Sat- 6:30 am-10:30 am
Pay Range: $15-19.50 (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume
Responsibilities:
- Experience doing blood draws, labelling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
- Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
- Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.
- Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
- Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
- Package specimens for transport.
- Stores specimen samples according to the required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels and follows different procedures as outlined by specific protocols deemed necessary for transport to maintain the integrity of the specimen.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum 1 yr. of phlebotomy experience is required.
