Essential Job Functions:
The Database Administrator is responsible for the overall technical implementation, execution, control, and completion of assigned DBA tasks.
Responsible for supporting and maintenance large multi-terabyte Oracle 19c databases in production and non-production environments.
Responsible for supporting the development staff to ensure the optimal query configuration and response time for performance tuning.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
4-5 years Oracle development and production database administration.
Advance knowledge and experience with Oracle 19c.
Advance knowledge and experience with Oracle upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
Advance knowledge in database modeling and creating data marts.
Advance knowledge and experience with Oracle DR solutions – Data Guard, Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Performance Tuning (AWR, ADDM, and ASH), Grid Control (19c) Management, Data Warehouse, Partitioning, Security, Multi-tenant.
Knowledge of Streams, Networking, Compression.
Knowledge and experience with monitoring and administration tools (Oracle Enterprise Manager).
Knowledge and experience of database tools such as Toad, and SQL*Developer.
Knowledge of AWS tools such as DMS, RedShift, Aurora, Amazon RDS, etc.
Must have experience gathering and compiling data necessary to analyze a multitude of database products.
Must be able to evaluate data to quickly identify problems, issues and gaps.
Must have knowledge and skill to recommend solutions that will improve performance of databases.
Must have experience in defining and building effective and efficient databases using a variety of different software products.
Must have experience managing the routine operations and maintenance of databases and ensuring their reliable and efficient performance.
Knowledge of security hardening (encryption) for Oracle databases is a plus.
Knowledge of resolving STIGS
Advance knowledge of Redhat Linux and MS Windows Server.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proven ability to multi-tasking in a deadline driven environment.
