Our client, a rapidly growing startup property management firm, is seeking an exceptional visionary and experienced leader who has an entrepreneurial spirit to fill the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Location: West Los Angeles or San Fernando Valley
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to scale operations and expand the portfolio
- Build and lead a high-performing team of 20+ professionals across accounting, finance, property management, and maintenance
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, working alongside a CFO and accounting team
- Implement effective client acquisition strategies to attract new property owners
- Ensure efficient day-to-day operations, including property maintenance and tenant relations
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in legal, financial, and operational areas
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in the property management industry, with a proven track record as a CEO or senior executive in scaling businesses to manage over 2,000 units
- Strong leadership skills and ability to build and manage a team of 20+ people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Deep understanding of property management operations, including leasing, maintenance, and financial management
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for innovation
- Proficiency with Appfolio property management software (required)
- Established industry relationships that can be leveraged for recruiting efforts

- Reporting to a board of three property owners
- Flexible work location between West LA and Valley offices, with an emphasis on visiting properties regularly
