The Sr. Loan Operations Specialist is responsible for a variety of duties to service Consumer and Commercial Loans. This role ensures the successful boarding of loans, accurate maintenance and servicing of loan files, and for providing prompt and courteous customer service. Along with processing participation payments and real estate taxes, this position will also include working closely with the Commercial Lending team and the Credit Department.

- Issues checks and prepares GL tickets, books new Consumer and Commercial loans to FIS.
- Prepares the initial post-closing review of documents; sets up loan in FIS and in Sageworks. Prepares and indexes new loan files for imaging; Prepares related paperwork on new loans and sends information and/or checks to third parties, the real estate tax servicer, and various governmental agencies to record liens.
- Prepares paperwork, issues checks, makes deposits and performs data entry into FIS for advances on Construction, Borrowing Base and other types of Lines of Credit. Responsible at this time for all transaction posting for entire Lending Area.
- Updates modification, extension, and renewal documents for both Residential and Consumer; Processes fees in FIS. Prepares data and processing information on recycled loans.
- Sorts and processes daily mail; monitors ticklers for collateral, legal and insurance documents. Files continuations and amendments to UCCs as necessary and collaborates with VP, Loan Operations Manager and Loan Officers on follow up of required items. This function is for both the Consumer and Commercial portfolio.
- Prepares and processes construction advances, track permits, and updates construction schedules.
- Prepares partial release statements and documents for Attorneys.
- Monitors Miniter insurance inbox and prepares weekly reports to send to the Commercial lending team and uploads all insurance documents to FCM and Miniter.
- Processes all participation remittances.
- Receives, investigates, and resolves customer inquiries regarding billing and other loan issues; Collaborates with VP, Loan Operations Manager, Loan Officers, and other Bank personnel on billing and other Servicing issues.
- Services customer, third party and internal requests for payoff quotes. Processes payoff in FIS and prepares paid loan and release of collateral documents for Consumer and Commercial Portfolio. Mails documents and files folders. Notifies third parties.
- Provides prompt and courteous service.
- Researches and responds to customer inquiries and problems.
- Performs additional duties as requested.

Requirements:
- High school Diploma or equivalent.
- Two or more years of experience in Loan Servicing.
- Knowledge of loan processing practices, methods and procedures.
- Knowledge of Commercial, Real Estate and Consumer loan files and documents strongly preferred.
- Good understanding of financial institutions products and service.
- Ability to provide courteous, knowledgeable and professional customer service both in person and on the telephone.
- Strong skills operating a personal computer including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to assume responsibility, display initiative, exercise good judgement and make and act upon decisions with minimal supervision.
