This is a multi year contract and will need to be onsite 2x a week with our client in Tempe, AZ.
Sr Business Systems Analyst (BA)
Provide business analysis services within an Agile framework. Work closely with product owners, development team, stakeholders, and quality analysts to ensure that the product meets the needs of the business. The Business Analyst will work with a cross-functional team to analyze, refactor, or replace current applications impacted by the Customer Modernization project. The BA is responsible for writing detailed user stories based on business requirements and participating in agile ceremonies such as backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, product demos, and sprint retrospectives.
Required Skills
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst with extensive hands-on experience eliciting, analyzing, and validating business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Extensive hands-on experience with agile practices, requirements documentation, user story creation, facilitating, and interviewing techniques to extract and validate user requirements.
• Hands-on experience maintaining an expansive, well-groomed backlog.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, and written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Skills
• Agile/SCRUM development methodology
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps
Business Analyst will be responsible for the following deliverables:
• Systems Analysis: Conduct a fit/gap analysis between each application's current state and its desired future state to better understand the body of work needed to complete this transformation.
• Business Process Modeling: Analyze and document existing business processes and identify areas for improvement/change.
• Requirements Elicitation: Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and accurately document requirements and their prioritization.
• User Story Composition: Decompose the business requirements into manageable user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
• Design Workshops: Collaborate with business and technical teams to design the new system architecture.
• Release Planning: Assist in the creation of a release plan associated with the desired features and functionality.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and document potential risks associated with the project.
