Job Summary:
The processor position is responsible for determining operations to produce machine tool parts and fabrications and develop processes to ensure quality, cost and efficiency requirements are met. This position troubleshoots problems with production and takes corrective action.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Verify accuracy of drawings prior to release for fabrication & machining.
- Evaluate the process requirements of drawings.
- Create work orders and routings that facilitate the efficient flow of materials between processes.
- Schedule and release work orders according to project timelines and shop floor capacity.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity.
- Execute and maintain purchase orders in ERP system.
- Work with external suppliers to obtain the best price and delivery for all fabrication and machined components.
- Process fabricated spare parts orders as required.
- Track all incoming fabrications and machined parts to timeline requirements.
- Interface with all departments to resolve any issues dealing with the machining and fabricating of all machine tool parts.
- Support all quality system requirements.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing preferred
· High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Experience with ERP systems
- Experience with Microsoft Windows software
