They specialize in programs that foster educational success, family engagement, and workforce development. They are currently seeking a Parent Engagement Specialist on a part-time basis.
Job Description:
The Parent Engagement Specialist will be responsible for recruiting, engaging, and supporting parents and students from the Tilden High School community. This role will involve building relationships, organizing events, and facilitating communication between the school and parents to ensure families are informed and connected to available resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit and engage parents and youth within the Tilden High School community
- Develop and manage communication channels including newsletters, social media, emails, and phone calls
- Organize workshops, informational sessions, and events to keep parents informed about school programs and policies
- Collaborate with school staff and community members on prevention programs
- Provide guidance on available school and community resources, including tutoring, counseling, and extracurricular activities
- Take on additional projects or tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience in customer service, outreach, or retail roles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
Additional Details:
- Hours: 8am-3pm with a 30-minute lunch (flexible schedule) – 20 TO 25 HOURS A WEEK
