Our client, a manufacturer and distributor of industrial equipment, is looking to add a Sr. Regional Operations Manager to their team in the San Jose Area. The Regional Operations Sr. Manager will work with Director of Operations in enforcing business operations across represented locations and departments including Service, Parts, Rentals, Warehousing and Administration. As a key member of the management team, the Sr. Regional Operations Manager will work with the Director in enforcing business operations across represented locations and departments. The focus is to continuously review business revenue, margin and costs to drive efficiency, profitability, and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
High Level Business Objectives:
o Lead and coordinate employees across multiple branches, ensuring alignment with company goals and policies.
o Contribute to strategic plans to achieve business growth and operational objectives.
o Drive initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs while striving for highest standards.
o Monitor financial metrics and KPIs to track performance and profitability.
o Control expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities as well as identify opportunities for revenue growth.
Operational Leadership: .
o Continuous monitoring of business activities through SAP, Sales Force and other applications.
o Review financial reports, analyze variances, and take corrective actions as needed.
o Monitor and improve process and personnel performance to improve operational efficiency.
o Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
o Communicate operational goals, progress, and challenges effectively.
o Monitor call answering performance for all represented locations and provide reports to Director of Operations o Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, marketing, Field Service) to achieve overall company objectives.
Staff Management
o Recruit, train, and develop employees to build a strong team.
o Set performance standards and conduct performance reviews.
o Motivate and support staff to achieve high levels of performance.
Miscellaneous:
o Demonstrate flexibility/teamwork as additional items will be required to help grow the business. o 50% travel required
o Bi-Weekly meetings with Service and Sales leaders
Qualifications:
Education:
• Four-year degree in business or equivalent related business experience required.
Position Requirements:
• Minimum of ten years operations management experience.
• Proven leadership experience with strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft office suite.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• In-depth understanding of P&L reporting and how it relates to driving various aspects of the business
