Engineering Technician – Day Shift

Day Shift - M-F 7am-3:30pm
Pay: $30/hr. W2
Perform as a Test Technician as a member of the Validation Engineering team. Responsible for utilizing lab equipment, software and hardware to run tests that evaluate the performance of automotive seating. Ensure tests are conducted safely, efficiently, correctly, and in accordance to published and/or provided specifications and requirements. This is a day shift position.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Own responsibility for carrying out tests
· Setup and execute requested tests according to work order.
· Install test instrumentation (accelerometers, load cells, string pots, etc.) as required by the test procedure
· Setup and usage of programmable controllers and environmental chambers.
· Perform routine maintenance per the schedule and document the activity.
· Usage of Data Acquisition system to collect test data
· Document all test relevant data in an appropriate form (photos, video, measurement data…)
· Compiling reports on findings and testing data gathered.
· Providing recommendations and advice to relevant stakeholders.
· Maintaining lab and testing equipment regularly.
· Discussing findings with other team members.
· Consulting with management about testing results.
· Reporting any issues through the appropriate channels.
· Continuously strive to improve work procedures
· Recommending technical and procedural additions to test processes
· Implementing changes in testing protocols as required.
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
· A high school diploma or a GED.
· 2 years experience as a test technician, product tester or similar role.
· Proficiency in testing procedures and protocols.
· Analytical thinking and abilities.
· Report writing and document analysis skills.
· Ability to work with data and numbers.
· Problem-solving skills.
