Stellar is seeking a full-time Proposal Manager to lead our company's proposal development process. The Proposal Manager works with the Director of Proposals, Project Executives/Developers, Business Development and/or Vice President of respective markets to coordinate and organize proposal activity for Food & Beverage, Logistics, and Commercial divisions at Stellar. This individual will not be limited to just proposal management and development but will also assist in the marketing efforts for the divisions to include public relations, social media, groundbreakings, sales, and more.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate RFP’s, RFQ’s, and any other project solicitations to determine what requirements need to be met and exceeded to submit proposals to potential clients. Creating proposal outlines and development plans
- Develop and prepare proposals, prequalification packages, and information packages. This will include formatting, proofing and reviewing proposals, information, etc.
- Act as the main point of contact on assigned proposals, assisting in leading and guiding the work of the proposal/project team
- Plan winning themes, value propositions, strengths, risk reducers, and differentiated solutions to initial proposal outline
- Facilitate multi-disciplined groups in brainstorming and developing solutions to key aspects of the proposal providing tactical advice and guidance with the ability to drive strategy and solutions that result in winning submissions
- Manage reviews and approvals during proposal development
- Manage proposal content to ensure compliance to RFP requirements, evaluation criteria, and technical requirements
- Attend pre-bid meetings, conferences, debriefs, etc. as needed
- Develop, print, stack, and deliver proposals
- Manage annual prequalification renewals
- Coordinate the maintenance of the division’s database of projects datasheets, resumes, standard content, photography, etc.
- Establish programs to accomplish marketing-related aspects of the corporate mission
- Assist with proposal/marketing plan development
- Manage client-contact program
- Manage qualification, proposal, and presentation activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (marketing, communications, English, journalism, business administration, or technical field)
- 4-8 years of experience, preferably in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent knowledge of marketing fundamentals, and a comprehensive knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files
- Good mentoring/teaching abilities and leadership/managerial skills
- Excellent presentation and written/oral communication skills
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-conscious work environment
