Role Description
This is a full-time position for a Project Estimator at Southwestern Ohio Services in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Project Estimator will be responsible for cost management, construction estimating, communication, project estimation, and budgeting for asphalt maintenance projects.
Roles/Responsibilities:
Answering customer inquiries and gathering information about future projects
Entering data and ensuring accuracy of notes
Reviewing project scope of work, details, and contracts
Prepare “take-off” notes and quantities
Ability to read blueprints and construction plans
Ability to run reports and create spreadsheets
Prepare proposals, estimates and follow up with customers
Minimum Qualifications
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Time management and attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred
Ability to define problems, ask questions, and collect pertinent information
Team oriented and ability to collaborate with peers on projects
Self-motivated and willingness to learn
Knowledge of asphalt maintenance industry is a plus
Associate's degree or higher education preferred
