About the Company
Reputable construction company with 40 years of industry experience and $120 million in annual revenue. Expertise in civil works, site development, roadworks, hardscaping, utility works and landscaping for both commercial and residential projects throughout New York City and Long Island.
They are poised for continued growth into 2025 and are looking to add an experienced Estimator to their growing team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-screen take-offs for accurate material quantity assessments.
- Analyze bid documents for constructability and feasibility.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Architects, and Engineers to compile competitive bids.
- Conduct thorough bid reviews and address RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Provide detailed cost breakdowns
- Monitor and evaluate actual project costs against estimated costs throughout the project life cycle.
- Engage in negotiation processes to secure competitive pricing.
- Mentor and assist in the development of junior estimators
Experience Required
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Estimating
- Experience working as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in the New York area
- Experience in commercial construction, residential or site/civil works
- Knowledge of multiple trades
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and industry standards
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field is preferred but not essential

Salary Range: $150,000 – $200,000 per annum
