Specimen Processor JOB DESCRIPTION
Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Processor to join our client’s healthcare team all over Miramar, FL. This is a Contract Position with our client’s reputable healthcare organization.
Job Summary: The Specimen Processing Technician I (SPT I) plays a crucial role in the Specimen Processing Department, providing essential support functions in a fast-paced production environment. This position requires a strong background in data entry and familiarity with laboratory operations.

- Job Type: 3+ months Contract
- Location: Miramar, FL
- Schedule: Full time - Mon-Fri, 8 PM - 5:30 AM EST
- Salary: $17.20/hr. - $19.50/hr.
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.

Requirements:
- Perform A-station duties and presort specimens according to laboratory requirements.
- Safely handle specimen pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely transport to the laboratory.
- Operate imaging and microfilming equipment to document specimens accurately.
- Conduct centrifugation and aliquoting procedures with attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with biohazard safety protocols.
- Uphold high standards of productivity and quality to meet departmental completion times.
- Utilize strong data entry skills to input a minimum of 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes per hour.
- Adapt to daily changes in compliance regulations related to test ordering processes.
- Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate night shifts, weekends, holidays, on-call duty, and overtime based on staffing needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
