Our client is seeking a highly experienced Tax Estate Planning Partner to join their team in Miami. Their Taxation and Wealth Planning attorneys are dedicated to providing sophisticated estate advice that aligns with their clients' family and financial goals. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a collaborative process, guiding clients through evolving federal tax laws and helping them secure their financial legacies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert tax and estate planning advice to high-net-worth clients, including business owners, executives, investors, and public figures.
- Stay up to date with changes to federal tax law and advise clients on how to maximise tax benefits and mitigate liabilities.
- Collaborate with clients' financial advisors, accountants, and family offices to develop comprehensive estate planning strategies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor in the areas of wealth transfer, asset protection, and tax mitigation, ensuring that clients’ objectives are met despite the uncertainty of evolving tax laws.
- Participate in business development activities to grow and expand the firm’s client base in the Miami market.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Florida.
- Extensive experience in tax and estate planning, preferably with high-net-worth individuals and families.
- In-depth knowledge of federal tax law, including recent legislative changes such as the SECURE Act.
- Proven ability to develop and implement complex estate planning strategies using SLATs, GRATs, and other financial instruments.
