Physical Therapist III
- Assists in coordinating and managing the daily activities of the discipline specific staff and students to ensure quality delivery of patient care services.
- Participates in direct and consultative patient care.
- Reviews and revises patient care and treatment procedures and policies on an on-going basis.
- Provides on-going performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, verifies competency and identifies and suggests ways to develop skills.
- Monitors and re-directs activities, as necessary, to maintain acceptable levels of productivity.
- Participates in program design committees to ensure that the service commitments are in keeping with resource capability, state of the art clinical practices and fiscal efficiency.
- Performs routine and specialized procedures relating to therapy techniques.
- Communicates regularly with members of the patient care team, the patient, family members and others involved with the patient's care.
- Assists in the maintenance of discipline specific records related to continuing education, personnel, charting, financial operations and quality improvement.
- Serves as a resource to medical staff, students, other allied health professionals and support staff concerning the operations of the specific discipline.
- Participates in research activities being conducted within the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from a Physical Therapy School accredited by the American Physical Association (APTA).
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Georgia.
- Three years of clinical experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
