About the Position
We are seeking a talented and creative Fashion Jewelry Sample Maker to join our dynamic jewelry design team on a part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of fashion-forward jewelry collections for both retail and consignment clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create unique and trend-driven handmade jewelry pieces for various collections, ensuring alignment with seasonal trends and client preferences.
- Handmake jewelry using sourced components to update existing styles or create new designs.
- Use CAD software such as Photoshop or Illustrator to create detailed specifications of your designs for production teams.
- Conduct ongoing research into fashion trends to inspire innovative jewelry designs that appeal to diverse markets.
- Work closely with the design team to refine and adapt concepts, ensuring that designs meet commercial and aesthetic goals.
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines and deliver products in line with customer meetings and seasonal schedules.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in fashion jewelry hand making is essential (this is not benchwork such as soldering or stone setting but focused on assembling components to update existing styles).
- Previous experience with a fashion jewelry supplier or retailer is required.
- A keen eye for detail, creativity, and the ability to translate trends into commercially viable jewelry pieces.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as Photoshop or Illustrator to create detailed specifications of your designs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are essential.
- A portfolio that reflects your experience and fashion jewelry design style is required.
- In-office role in Hollywood - must be located in LA county
