HR Manager
Summary: Our client, a leading retailer of premium home furnishings, is seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and organized Human Resources Manager to join their team at our upholstery manufacturing facility. In this pivotal role, the HR Manager will serve as a strategic business partner, driving organizational effectiveness and supporting the company's financial and strategic objectives by managing human resources efficiently.
Location: Conover, NC
Compensation: $105,000 to 115,000 + annual bonus
Schedule: Monday to Friday (8-5)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver training materials, as well as performance management programs, to ensure employees and associates fully understand their job responsibilities.
- Lead and coordinate organizational change initiatives, collaborating with all levels of management and staff to ensure smooth and effective implementation.
- Investigate employee issues, conflicts, and policy violations, handling disciplinary actions and terminations as necessary.
- Provide training, counseling, and coaching to employees, promoting growth and development.
- Utilize workforce analytics and reporting to support the development, execution, and continuous refinement of the company's workforce strategy.
- Conduct daily walkthroughs of the facility, engaging with employees at all levels to identify areas for improvement and offering proactive feedback to leadership.
- Develop and maintain a compensation strategy for all employees, informed by market research and salary surveys, and ensure it remains current.
- Support the company’s long-term goals by fostering the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of the associate workforce.
- Ensure consistent application of all company HR policies.
- Maintain updated organizational charts and employee directories.
- Partner with management to align strategic HR goals with broader business objectives.
- Oversee HR systems and processes, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Excellent knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant agencies.
- Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.
- Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations.
