As a Project Engineer I, your role is to contribute significantly to the development of new products that meet performance goals and deliver strong customer impact. You will apply your engineering expertise to design innovative solutions, focusing on quality, delivery, and cost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead project teams and guide part designers to meet project objectives.
- New Product Development: Follow the Concept to Product (C to P) process. Utilize Inventor and Autodesk Vault for 3D/2D drawings, maintain product bills of material, and develop product options.
- Prototyping & Documentation: Assemble prototypes and develop comprehensive product documentation, including instruction books, spare parts books, service packs, and wiring schematics.
- Project Management: Track project progress, budget, risk assessments, and efficiency. Lead team meetings and manage technical documentation for phase gates.
- Design Integrity: Perform numerical calculations, FMEA, and analyze potential product misuse to ensure safety and integrity.
- Cost & Component Management: Monitor product costs, promote component reuse, and aim for a First Time Right (FTR) metric above 90%.
- Product Lifecycle Support: Oversee projects from inception through field warranty issues.
