Job Description
Your Career
We’re looking for a creative and dynamic senior public relations leader to take our Unit 42 business to the next level. In this role, you’ll be responsible for earning top tier media coverage that builds the reputation of Palo Alto Networks via amplification of Unit 42 services and threat intelligence.
You are passionate and knowledgeable about the cybersecurity landscape - from products to threats - and have a vision on how to create an impact within it. You’re skilled at taking complex information and molding it into impactful stories that pique the interest of the right audiences, you have creative ideas, thrive on “out of the box” PR - beyond the usual “package and pitch” approach - and an impressive track record of success.
As part of the Global Communications team, you’ll be a key point of contact across functions and regions. You have a strong executive presence, and understand how to navigate complex and matrixed organizations, build bridges across functions and regions, and deftly manage agencies and resources.
Your Impact
- Establish and execute PR strategy that builds the reputation for and visibility of Unit 42 offerings and threat intelligence, in conjunction with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Serve as a key thought partner, architect and builder for high-impact programs and processes that will take Unit 42 PR through its next phase of growth
- Effectively collaborate across the business, from partnership with executive communications and enabling regional PR, to building strong cross-functional relationships, and more
- Work and build strong relationships with top-tier media
- Establish ongoing metrics - measure everything to ensure success, and pivot early and often
Qualifications
Your Experience
- 10+ years communications experience, in cybersecurity preferred
- Media savvy with knowledge of cybersecurity and business media landscape
- Highly organized and self-motivated individual who will oversee timely, first-rate execution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey business strategies and complex technologies to audiences in compelling ways
- Strong team player, collaborator and creative thinker
- Ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders
- Ability to work under pressure to adhere to tight, last-minute deadlines
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive clarity

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $145,000/yr to $234,650/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
