VIVID Engineering Group, Inc. (VIVID) is a small but rapidly growing Colorado company providing geotechnical, environmental, and construction support services focused on transportation, water, energy, utility, government, and commercial market sectors, for which our principals have over 120 years of collective experience. We are currently comprised of four principal owners and 60 additional staff who have significant experience in providing our core services.
VIVID has three office/lab locations: 1053 Elkton Drive, Colorado Springs, CO; 3885 Forest Street, Denver, CO; and 621 E Enterprise Drive, Pueblo West, CO. At these office locations our engineering and construction support services are supported by AMRL and CCRL certified and full-service geotechnical and construction materials testing laboratories for soil, aggregate, concrete, and asphalt testing.

Hiring Needs:
Our Denver Office is seeking an Mid-Level Geotechnical Field Engineer/Geologist. Ideal candidate would have 4 to 10 years of experience. Will consider others experience levels. In this position, you will train under our experienced staff and will have the opportunity to learn the business and develop your career.
Primary duties will include:
· Evaluating site geotechnical and geologic conditions;
· Performing field staking of geotechnical borings and coordinating utility locates;
· Supervision of field geotechnical drilling activities;
· Soil bore logging and collection of soil samples;
· Preparing laboratory testing programs with the project team;
· Preparing geotechnical report appendices including site maps, boring location plans, and completed boring logs with the project team.
Position Requirements:
· Degree: BS in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Geology, Civil Engineering Technology (CET), or similar degree;
· Experience with MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams). Experience with geotechnical software.
· Experience with CAD software a plus but not required;
· Dependable, self-motivated, solid work ethic, solution and detail-oriented, good team player, and great communication skills.
· Ability to work outdoors in a wide array of sites and weather conditions.
