Regional Sales Manager - Texas

A well-established global leader in the instrumentation valve and manifold industry is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager for the Texas region. This role focuses on developing and managing the downstream market, supporting customers with technical queries and quotations, and expanding the customer portfolio in collaboration with a regional distributor. The Regional Sales Manager will report directly to the General Manager and work closely with the inside sales team to drive sales growth and deliver excellent customer service.
Territory: Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop sales within the assigned territory, including creating business plans, setting targets, and growing the customer base.
- Identify, generate, and pursue project sales opportunities, with a focus on downstream industry applications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring clear communication between customers and internal teams.
- Resolve customer issues, negotiate contracts, and implement growth and pricing strategies.
- Track and follow up on quotes, maintain data in CRM (Salesforce), and analyze client data for improved customer management.
- Provide feedback on market trends, competition, and product enhancements.
- Report on account progress and quarterly initiatives to stakeholders.
- Promote the benefits of the product lineup to prospective and existing customers.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in regional sales management, preferably in the industrial valve or instrumentation industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of downstream and chemical industry applications;
- An engineering degree (Petroleum or Chemical) is preferred.
- Proven experience in selling high-value engineered products to end-users or engineering firms.
- Existing relationships with key players in the oil and gas industry, refineries, chemical and petrochemical industries along with EPCs, OEMs, and service companies are required and expected to be maintained and further developed;
- Familiarity with industry standards (API 6D, EEMUA182, ASME).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the Texas region.
- Hands-on mentality with a customer-focused approach.
