Rare opportunity to join the executive leadership team of this successful Insurance Agency as its new
Head of Personal Lines.
I’m kicking off a search for a Director of Personal Lines for a successful Massachusetts based insurance agency, located west of 495, and I’m looking for a very particular type of individual.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A SUCCEFUL HIRE?
While having a deep technical knowledge of Personal lines will be important, the primary focus of this role will be leading a group of 25-30 individuals.
Leading them. Not supervising them. There’s a difference.
And so, our search efforts will be focused on finding someone who can:
- Spot and develop talent, bring out the best in individuals and create tight knit teams.
- Someone who can build and design progressive career tracks for those that want to earn it. Then help motivate, guide and mentor them to get there.
- Someone who can develop the firms next group of leaders.
- Someone capable of articulating a clear vision that people can get behind.
- Someone not afraid of change or new ideas and ways of doing things.
- Someone who gets satisfaction from seeing others succeed.
PROBABLE RECENT EXPERIENCE:
This individual is currently most likely either:
- In a management role leading the Personal Lines Division or a team of PL professionals within a medium-to-large sized Insurance Agency
- In a management role within the Underwriting, Service, Sales or Product division of an Insurance Carrier
With demonstrable experience in some or all of the following leadership activities:
- Coaching, training and developing
- Process/workflow improvement
- Communicating strategy and vision
