Overview: The Senior Construction Estimator is pivotal to the success of our projects by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for retail, residential and commercial clients. Leveraging your extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards, you will analyze project plans, specifications, and proposals to develop comprehensive estimates that guide budgeting and decision-making. You will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure all aspects of the project are accurately reflected in your estimates.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Review project plans and specifications and coordinate with stakeholders to confirm complete scope.
· Prepare and present competitive bids to win projects.
· Identify and mitigate potential risk factors.
· Solicit subcontractor and/or supplier information and pricing.
· Prepare conceptual budgets based on minimal information.
· Ensure the flow of project information is maintained and documented.
· Coordinate with Chief Estimator and President to review the scoping of specialty contractor bids.
· Coordinate technical proposal requirements with Marketing Coordinator.
· Review constructability issues with operational staff.
· Maintain and communicate data on construction and material cost trends affecting project costs.
· Analyze alternate means and methods to determine the most economical alternative.
· Build effective relationships with customers, design team, specialty contractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer's expectations.
· Participate in the transfer of information on successful projects including the Job Kick-off Meeting.
· Assist in the preparation and review of work plans as requested.
· Participate in periodic reviews and visits to projects as appropriate.
· Other responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in construction related discipline
· Five (5) plus years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Experience with estimating software
· Experience with Procore is a plus
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work under pressure
· Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings and plans
· Thorough understanding of quality building practices
· Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them
· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
· Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels, both internal and externally
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to visit job sites as needed.
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Base salary range: $125,000-$165,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
