Systems Engineer (Jamf & Intune)
*6-month Contract-to-Hire*
Hybrid: 3x a week onsite in Atlanta, GA
Optomi, in partnership with one of our premier clients in the IT Services industry, is seeking an experience Systems Engineer to join their team in Atlanta! The Systems Engineer will support senior engineers in designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions for business needs related to mobile devices, desktop hardware, and software. The role involves providing Level 3 technical support, acting as an escalation point for technical issues involving core IT systems and end-user applications, and collaborating with Workplace Support Technicians. The engineer will also contribute to the creation of technical documentation and facilitate knowledge sharing with support teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations and System Administration (60%)
- Administer Jamf and Intune for managing Mac, Mobile, and Android devices.
- Develop and package software for automated deployment and self-service use.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Jamf and Intune infrastructure, working with vendors as needed.
- Collaborate with the Identity Team to create and manage Conditional Access Policies.
- Ensure adherence to security practices and implement agreed-upon security baselines.
- Address outages and critical issues, including conducting root cause analyses (RCA).
Escalations, Collaboration, and Documentation (25%)
- Develop and maintain documentation for internal processes and for technical support teams.
- Monitor support channels (Zoom, Teams, SharePoint, Confluence, email, etc.) and prioritize escalated requests.
- Review and update tickets in ServiceNow related to Jamf, Intune, Mac, and Mobile devices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Assist in evaluating and prioritizing business processes and their success metrics.
- Clearly communicate strategic challenges and provide viable solutions.
- Actively engage in team meetings and collaboration efforts, including occasional travel.
Miscellaneous (15%)
- Stay current with emerging technologies through ongoing learning and research.
- Provide endpoint reports for stakeholders as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in administering Jamf, Intune, or other MDM platforms for Mac and mobile devices.
- Experience managing security incidents and resolving system outages.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize tasks based on their urgency and impact.
- Comfortable working autonomously, especially in varying time zones.
- Proficiency in English is required.
