Contract
Estimated Duration October through 12/23/24 (possibility to extend)
Hybrid 3 days a week onsite, 2 days from home
Required:
- 6+ years of experience in benefits management and administration required, including experience with administration of health, dental, retirement, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Well versed in laws
- Past experience working at a similar size organization – the company is approximately 500 employees.
- Intermediate or better excel (manipulate data, look at trends)

Seeking a skilled Employee Benefits Program Manager to design, develop, and oversee our employee benefits programs. This role is crucial in attracting and retaining top talent while ensuring exceptional customer service for our employees and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer employee benefits programs, including health, vision, dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, life and disability insurance, retirement plans (401(k), 457(b)), Employee Assistance Program, supplemental plans, and employee discount programs.
- Conduct surveys and analyze employee benefits needs, assess data trends, and research best practices to provide strategic, cost-effective recommendations that align with organizational goals and fiscal guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including ERISA, FMLA, and HIPAA, and oversee necessary testing and audits.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits and leave, delivering clear and timely information about available options.
- Organize and lead benefits education sessions and employee engagement events, including benefit fairs.
- Maintain relationships with benefits brokers and external administrators of the 401(k) Plan to monitor vendor performance and resolve any service-related issues.
- Oversee benefits-related payroll obligations, ensuring accurate data integration and documentation with vendors and systems.
- Develop and implement creative communication strategies to promote employee health and well-being.
- Ensure all benefits plans are administered in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to the Benefits Team, delegating tasks as needed and offering backup coverage.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 6+ years of experience in benefits management and administration, including health, dental, and retirement plans.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels.
- Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems, particularly across multi-state and Canadian operations, along with FMLA and benefits software integrations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI regulations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, CMS, GBA) is preferred.
- Experience leading large-scale projects that carry significant business impact.
