Job Summary
Assemblers are responsible for assembling complex cable and wire harness systems.
Duties
- Perform precise cutting, stripping, crimping, and soldering of wires and cables, following industry standards and specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to assemble cable and wire harness systems accurately.
- Utilize various hand tools and equipment to assemble and route wires, cables, connectors, and other components, ensuring proper connections and wire management.
- Conduct thorough visual inspections and functional tests to verify the quality and functionality of assembled cable and wire harness systems.
Requirements
- Technical certifications in cable and wire harness assembly are a plus.
- Proven experience in cable and wire harness assembly, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, such as wire cutters, crimpers, soldering irons, and heat guns.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for cable and wire harness assembly, including IPC/WHMA-A-620.
