We're looking for a seasoned and strategic leader to function as our Vice President of Account Management.
The Role:
In this pivotal role, you will lead a high-performing team focused on developing and executing account strategies for our clients. You will ensure that our clients have a best-in-class experience while working with Chamber by training a team of account strategists. Reporting to the President, you will be a key member of the leadership team, partnering with Creative, Media Buying, and other departments to deliver exceptional client service and drive significant business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the Account Strategy team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive account growth strategies for existing and new clients, focused on full-funnel growth.
- Own the client onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition and exceeding expectations.
- Partner with Creative and Media teams to translate client needs into exceptional creative solutions and effective media plans.
- Lead strategic conversations with clients, demonstrating a deep understanding of their business challenges and opportunities.
- Oversee all client renewal efforts and a deep focus on monthly retention metrics.
- Collaborate with the President on new business development initiatives.
- Diagnose client challenges, develop creative solutions, and measure the success of implemented strategies.
- Present creative work to clients with confidence and clarity.
- Oversee client budgets and ensure project profitability.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, fostering trust and loyalty.
- Handle necessary client escalations and work with the team to resolve any ongoing account management issues
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in account management at a leading advertising agency, with a proven track record of managing large, high-profile clients.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor a team.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful client growth strategies.
- Strong understanding of the advertising industry, with a foundational knowledge of media buying and performance marketing.
- Impeccable communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience presenting creative work,leading strategic discussions, and renewing and growing client contracts.
- A passion for the advertising industry and a commitment to client success.
What a Day Looks Like:
- Train Account Strategy team on strategy, retention, sales, etc.
- Collaborate with the Account Strategy team on client deliverables.
- Lead strategic discussions with clients about their marketing goals and challenges.
- Help present creative work to marquee clients.
- Presenting contract renewals, reengagements, and upsells.
- Develop and refine account growth strategies.
- Participate in new business development meetings.
- Address client questions and concerns.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
