We are looking for an Associate Director of eLearning Design & Development:
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set curriculum design standards using proven methodologies and emerging technologies.
- Provide expertise in effective curriculum design and assessment for adult learners.
- Ensure a impactful learner's journey and evaluate training effectiveness using metrics.
- Manage external vendors for timely project completion
- Collaborate on technical issues with other departments, especially Information Technology Project Management.
- Lead the Curriculum Development Department, ensuring on-time course delivery.
- Design flexible, multi-platform curriculum for diverse audiences.
- Align curriculum with learning objectives, incorporating best practices for adult learning.
- Stay current on curricular trends, reporting findings, and making recommendations.
- Foster positive stakeholder relationships, understanding and meeting their needs.
- Embrace change and encourage a culture that welcomes new ideas.
- Solve complex problems with professional judgment and systematic analysis.
- Recommend professional learning opportunities for department staff.
- Safely archive project documents post-completion, maintaining confidentiality.
IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:
- Advanced knowledge of instructional design principles.
- Proven ability to manage remote teams in multiple locations and time zones.
- Proficiency in eLearning development tools and Learning Management Systems.
- Clear objective setting and measurement skills for productivity and quality.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Deductive thinking with a focus on the 'big picture.'
- Strong organizational and time management skills for multiple projects.
- Knowledge of Motion Picture and Television Industry and Unions preferred.
- Familiarity with OSHA (California and Federal) regulations, ANSI, NFPA, and other standards preferred.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree in a related field preferred.
- 10+ years of professional leadership in eLearning/microlearning programs.
- 10+ years of experience in training/education and adult eLearning/microlearning programs.
**Experience in developing safety and compliance-related training preferred OR Combination of academic education, professional training, or work experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position
