Entrusted Advisors is actively seeking a Contracting Officer who wants to leverage their legal expertise to facilitate and manage contracts essential to groundbreaking research initiatives at a Georgia university. This is a six month contract with the potential to convert to a permanent position. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who desires a non-traditional legal career within a cutting edge research university setting. The research organization supports research and technological development at the university. It also licenses all intellectual property (patents, software, trade secrets, etc.) created at the university. Training provided. The role provides excellent work/life balance and is fully remote after the training period is completed.
Requirements:
- Must have an understanding of contract law, types, terms and conditions, legal requirements, and negotiation process.
- Must be able to collaborate well with others and work closely with university departments, faculty, and external stakeholders.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with academia, research or university a plus but not required.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Must reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
