We are seeking a Performance Engineer who is responsible for conducting aircraft mission performance analysis and supporting aircraft configuration design improvements, in accordance with company (business) and regulatory requirements, with other engineering disciplines. You will develop and/or update processes and tools as necessary for the aircraft. This position also includes to join and support test campaign of POC articles from aircraft performance aspect to conduct engineering analysis and to identify/resolve issues.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze aircraft performance for nominal and failure scenarios, and produce engineering report documents.
- Develop and extend HRI performance analysis tools and processes to continue to build efficiency and capability going forward.
- Make requirements for Flight Science related systems (e.g., for electrical power units like battery and/or generator, flight controls, etc.
- Collaborating with all related engineering teams on technical matters (e.g., aerodynamics, safety, mass, stability&control, structure, and systems).
- Working with engineers to develop the new aircraft design concept and the safety strategy during normal and emergency operation.
- In test campaign, predict flight/ground test results and compare the prediction to test data to identify and resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a aerospace engineering area, with a Master's Degree is preferred. 5 to 10 years of experience as a performance engineer in aerospace industry, either of eVTOL, rotorcraft or airplane.
- Experience in POC(proof of concept) ground or flight test for either of eVTOL, rotorcraft or airplane.
- Certifications • (Nice-to-have) FAA-certified airplane or rotorcraft pilot license
