Job Summary
- The Medical Lab Scientist performs a variety of clinical lab tests, procedures, and related duties. Utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptittudes for day to day lab technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, and clinical lab related continuing education.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university and completion of NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist program, Bachelor's Degree & one to two years of Medical Laboratory Scientist experience/training acceptable to the ASCP or AMT.
Certification, Licensure, Registration
- Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist from the ASCP or AMT within one year of hire date.
Work Schedule
- Varied Shifts: occasional weekends, occasional holidays, occasional call;
- PRN (as needed)
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
