What you’ll do
The Manager of Logistics Operational Controls and Governance is responsible for driving operational compliance and processes to ensure timely and proper validations and processes for all domestic operational areas. Having a strong understanding of TJX supply chain operations, contract structures, financial processes and data structures, the Manager of Logistics Operational Controls and Governance will lead a team to support product flow through analytical support, continuous improvement, compliance, systems administration operational governance across all areas of responsibility.
- Manages exceptions in Blue Yonder Transportation Management System (TMS) related to the movement of TJX domestic merchandise.
- Streamline invoice process by creating consistency, recommending contract language changes, increasing visibility, and identifying cost savings opportunities. Partner with freight pay team to support efforts.
- Partners closely with Strategy & Analytics team to create meaningful, concise, and automated reporting that supports strategic decision making across the organization.
- Proactively analyzes operational data and develop trend results into clear and concise analysis and action items that can be shared with key stakeholders.
- Partner with Operations, Carrier Management, and the EDI team to design and implement corrective action plans amongst carriers and 3PL providers to ensure improvement in EDI data accuracy and operational efficiency in alignment with the EDI Systems team.
- Manage, coach and mentor direct reports for successful execution of day-to-day responsibilities.
- Support continuous improvement regarding standard operating procedures (SOPs) and 3PL/carrier communication.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5-8 years logistics or supply chain operational experience
- 3-5 years management experience
- Operational management acumen
- Supply chain industry knowledge ideally in the transportation space
- High degree of comfort operating in the grey
- Ability to convert strategy to execution and measure delivery progress against plan
- Problem solving and root cause analysis experience
- Excellent communication skills; storytelling across organizational hierarchy
- Exemplary critical and creative thinking / problem solving abilities, includes strong organization and follow-through skills
- Demonstrated people leadership and development capabilities
- Desire to learn a broad and complicated domain supported by a large and dynamic team; initiative required
This position has a starting salary range of $111,300 to $144,800 per year.
Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
