Job Summary:
The Process Engineer will design, develop, and implement optimized manufacturing systems that reduce costs while upholding operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve product quality, increase machine throughput, optimize material usage, and enhance worker safety.
- Operator Training: Support manufacturing by training operators in the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of production equipment, ensuring proper documentation.
- Material Sourcing: Assist in sourcing materials for products and production, including films, automation equipment, and packaging solutions.
- Product Specifications: Draft and maintain detailed product specifications to ensure consistency and quality.
- Customer Support: Provide technical input to address customer complaints, ensuring issues are resolved effectively.
- Maintenance Coordination: Collaborate with the Maintenance team to identify and implement the best corrective actions for work orders.
- New Product Development: Work closely with Sales, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams on new product development, from initial brainstorming and material testing to costing, equipment specification, product testing, packaging, and rollout.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Technical Proficiency: Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical documents, including machinery manuals, pneumatic and electrical schematics, and blueprints.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience with printing or paper converting equipment and processes is preferred.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field from an accredited four-year college or university, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a manufacturing process engineer.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with CAD software is a plus.
- Lean Manufacturing: Training or experience in Lean Manufacturing methodologies is advantageous.
