Job Title: Datacenter Technician (Sr.)
Location: Plano, TX (onsite)
Job Duration: 12+ month contract, possible conversion
Primary Skills:
- 5+ years of datacenter experience (server infrastructure)
- Experience with validation/testing process.
- Experience in high tech industry.
- Skilled in MS Office tool suites, Confluence, MS SharePoint, automation scripting desired
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- High attention to detail and good follow through in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in areas of data center system deployment, software deployment, and validation
- Familiarity with testing tools, methodologies, and defect tracking
- Ability to function independently with little direct supervision
- Physical Requirements – Candidate needs to be able to lift 50lbs and be flexible enough to get under a raised floor as needed
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering expertise to technical teams spanning multiple disciplines and geographies
- Engage with internal stakeholders in product planning, development, and validation activities
- Deploy and maintain VBU server products while partnering with other engineers and contractors
- Track and report status vs. objectives throughout the lifecycle of the program.
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
- Technician responsible for the deployment of VBU engineering projects involving AMD IP (Silicon, HW, SW) and debug of AMD server hardware infrastructure
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
