Title: IT Security Specialist
Location: Austin, TX
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Security analyst tasked with implementing and operating IT security solutionsto ensure the inafrastructure is secure.
- The analyst will well-versed in best practice and regularly interface with Bank GIS team for latest guidance, recommendations and requirements.
- As part of responsibilities they will be consulted regularly and provide research and decisions on security-related items in support of our applications.
- Assists in the development, testing and implementation of security plans, products and control techniques.
- Coordinates the reporting data security incidents.
- Provides technical support to client and management and staff in risk assessments and implementation of appropriate data security procedures and products. Executes security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-commerce programs. Researches attempted efforts to compromise security protocols.
- Administers security policies to control access to systems and maintains the company firewall.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Uses and applies basic technical principles, concepts and techniques.
- Strong understanding of various IT infrastructure components such as networking, servers, and security.
- Worked with scanning and reporting products (McAfee, ESM, Qualys, Tanium etc.).
- Strong understanding of information security and best practices.
- Experience with TippingPoint IDS.
- Experience with proxy management (BlueCoat, McAfee Web Gateway etc.).
- Experience with certificate management. Experience with HSMs.
- Experience with pen-testing and vulnerability scanning.
