Description/Basic Purpose
Serve as the technical subject matter expert for an assigned area providing moderately complex (Level 2) operational support to the organization. Develop technical solutions for importing and ingesting Customer Data into Pega CDH on Pega Cloud. The Pega Engineer will be responsible for guiding the design, development, and provide support to the existing application(s) to support Pega Marketing systems capabilities. Solves highly complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions. Interacts with other functional teams or projects. Ensure department objectives are met in operational stability, efficiency, asset management, change control, performance management, metric development, security, and integrity of systems. Provide operational support input related to application analysis, code review, design, and programming functions. Works independently.
Required:
o Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
o Working knowledge of banking/financial industry standards and practices
o Very good understanding of SQL (Advanced level)
o Experience with processing various file types
o Experience in ITIL Service Operations including Incident, Problem, & Alert Management
o Hands-on experience with Pega 8.x, PostgresQL and Cassandra
o Hands on experience with services and connectors/APIs
o Experience in understanding existing data model and create new data model.
o Hands on experience using data page, user interface, job scheduler and report definition.
o Hands on experience using dataflows and datasets.
o Knowledge of the PRPC Architecture and PRPC design and implementation
o Knowledge of Pega Application packaging, deployment, Pega DevOps, security, rulesets, portals, reports, and other Pega OOTB tools
o Demonstrates change management and/or excellent communication skills.
o Experience leading/training junior team members on Pega application and incidents.
o Experience with PDC and server monitoring and agents monitoring
