Traveling Superintendent with Ground up Multifamily required in Bozeman, MT

Our client is currently seeking to hire a high-performing Traveling Superintendent to support the build of a $85m ground-up wood-frame apartment building in Bozeman, MT. Our partnership client is a Top 20, Nationally rated ENR Design Build General Contractor established for almost 100 years. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a premier builder to work on a significant, high-profile project in Bozeman, MT and to become part of the traveling team for the Mid-West.
Your new role
- Work on a $85m new multifamily wood frame construction project in Bozeman, MT
- Support the lead Superintendent with the construction effort to ensure it is in alignment with the design, budget & schedule.
- Develop and strengthen the clients’ relationships with subcontracting partners and decision makers at local & regional agency organizations
- Manage the on-site safety program
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractors and ensure overall contractual performance
- Manage the schedule and support the project management team with the budget
- Provide technical assistance such as interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment and implementing and maintaining tight quality control
What you'll need to succeed
This position requires at least 8-10 years of solid construction experience with recent Multifamily project experience. Design build project experience in the $50m+ range is most attractive. To be successful in this role you must have very strong technical knowledge of the construction process and strong communication skills to work effectively with your subcontractors and project team. Experience using software tools like Procore, Plangrid or Primavera 6 is also attractive.
