Senior Mechanical Engineer / Industrial / Charlotte, NC
This position is for an Industrial machinery manufacturing company located in Charlotte, NC and is an on-site position. We are looking for a candidate who has experience in an industrial or technical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, troubleshooting and mechanical analysis
- Coordinate the mechanical design efforts, checking mechanical drawings, calculations and sketches
- Review and approve QA document, purchasing quotations and vendor drawings
- Provide technical support to the aftermarket and purchasing teams
- Analyze vendor supplied equipment
- Develop new technology designs
- Mentor junior engineers and designers
- Write technical specifications mechanical equipment design and fabrication
Experience Required:
- Industrial industry experience (or a technical equivalent)
- Mechanical equipment design and troubleshooting
- System specification and layouts
- Analysis- CFD, FEA, heat transfer
- Piping design and stress analysis
- Experience with hydraulic systems is advantageous
- Complex problem-solving skills
- Computer skills using Autodesk and Microsoft
Qualifications:
- BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical discipline
