Our client is looking for a Sr Program Manager with experience working in highly regulated enterprise environments on Data Center Decommission focused on data retention
This is a contract role that must be done Hybrid 3 days per week in Downtown Chicago
No Third Parties
Responsibilities
- Oversee the datacenter decommission project from conception through implementation, ensuring all data be retained and secured
- Collaborates with regulators and legal teams on decommissioning of servers, etc
- Utilizes the project management framework and standard tools to facilitate project planning, estimating, and scheduling work, and to supports periodic and frequent monitoring and reporting of project status, progress, and performance
- Manage software and hardware vendors on rightsizing or terminated contracts
Qualifications
- 5+ years managing projects focused on Data Center Decommission and data retention
- Strong understanding of project methodologies (traditional, agile, and hybrid), with a demonstrated ability to apply methodology effectively and with flexibility to projects]
- Must have prior and recent experience on large IT decommissioning of systems type projects
- Experience on these projects should be tied to financial services or other regulated enterprise environments, with understanding of data retention and implications etc.
- Strong communication skills
