Our client is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join their growing team in Kermit, TX.
This is a full-time role and not open to contract or C2C candidates. All applicants but be authorized to work in the United States.
This role is 100% onsite.

- 90% of this role is supporting their networking infrastructure for the plant operations.
- Strong end-user support skills. This role will work with the IT Support Analyst.
- Good networking skills (Cisco Meraki), including the administration of LAN/WAN products.
- Oversee shared storage environments (DAS, NAS, SAN) from vendors like HP, Dell, NetworkAppliance, and EMC.
- Private LTE networking experience is a plus. They have their own LTE and Wi-Fi network.
- Any experience with RFID, or PLC devices is a plus.
- Good fundamental O365, Active Directory, and Azure experience is good to have.
- No travel. May occasionally have to go to the Monahan plant (They do expense mileage).
- Self-starter and good time management skills.
- On-call schedule. Usually, one week a month.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and maintain the full functionality of computers and systems connected to factory equipment.
- Provide desktop support for local and remote office staff, ensuring smooth operation across multiple locations.
- Administer production Windows Server Operating Systems, both on-premise and in cloud environments like Office 365 and Azure.
- Manage and optimize virtualization platforms, including VMware and Hyper-V.
- Oversee shared storage environments (DAS, NAS, SAN) from vendors like HP, Dell, Network Appliance, and EMC.
- Deploy IT infrastructure in various geographic locations, including virtualized environments, cloud Exchange email administration, and advanced Active Directory administration.
- Administer LAN/WAN networking products (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, VPNs) and optimize network performance.
- Install and operate open-source software such as Linux, Apache, and PHP.
- Automate and optimize administrative processes using scripting in Linux and Windows environments.
- Mentor and train team members, enhancing the overall IT skill set within the organization.
- Document processes and procedures with precision and clarity.
- Be flexible and adaptable to new tasks and challenges as they arise.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
- A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in IT systems administration, particularly in manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in managing Windows Server Operating Systems, virtualization software, and shared storage environments.
- Familiarity with open-source software installation and administration.
- Strong networking skills, including the administration of LAN/WAN products.
- Aptitude for scripting and process automation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed.
- Ability to travel up to 10%, primarily within Texas.
