Job Description:
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial and technical success of assigned projects. This role involves comprehensive project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control. The Project Manager will also provide technical direction and ensure compliance with quality standards, overseeing all phases from pre-construction through project completion. Key responsibilities include managing budgets, schedules, risks, insurance, and performance to ensure the project stays on track and meets quality expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation efforts.
- Assemble project teams, define objectives and goals, and assign individual responsibilities.
- Oversee accounting functions, manage the project budget, track expenses, and minimize exposure to risk.
- Ensure construction activities progress according to schedule.
- Develop and adjust project work plans as necessary.
- Coordinate the efforts of architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and laborers.
- Monitor construction progress and hold regular status meetings with the client and subcontractors.
- Maintain strict adherence to budget, quality, and safety standards.
- Ensure project documentation is complete and up to date.
- Identify potential disputes and claims related to project design and construction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client and review team deliverables before submission.
- Proactively address issues, providing solutions in the best interest of the project and client.
Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in managing construction projects.
- Thorough knowledge of legal issues and safety standards in construction.
- Proficiency with relevant software, including Microsoft Office, ProCore, Primavera, and construction management software.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- A proactive problem-solver with a strong sense of urgency.
- A team leader with excellent communication skills.
- Experience leading at least 3 ground-up projects with contracts exceeding $25 million.
